Ingredients

  • 2 pork chops
  • 1 lemon
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1/4 tsp allspice
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 onion
  • 2 apples

Steps

  1. Heat the oven to 350 F and lightly oil a 9-by-13-inch baking dish.
  2. Core and chop the apples, slice the onion, and toss them with lemon juice, honey, allspice, and cinnamon.
  3. Place the apple mixture in the baking dish and bake for 25 minutes.
  4. Season the pork chops with salt and pepper, place them over the apples, and bake for 25 to 30 minutes.
  5. Check that the pork reaches 145 F, then rest it for 5 minutes before serving with the apples.
