Salefork

About Salefork

Salefork builds a week of dinners from the grocery ads in your city. It reads each store's public weekly ad, matches the items to ingredients, and picks five dinners that use what is cheap, within the budget you set.

Where the prices come from

Store weekly ads (published through Flipp, and Market Basket's own flyer), and public shelf prices from Target, Whole Foods and Trader Joe's. Ads are re-read on each store's usual new-ad day. Prices are as published and can differ by store.

How cost per serving is worked out

Each recipe is written for four. We multiply the quantity of each ingredient by that store's price per pound, ounce or each. If a store has no price for an ingredient we use a typical price and mark it as an estimate. Oil, spices and other pantry items are listed but not priced. We do not round up to pack sizes.

What we do not do

We do not sell your data, show store logos or flyer images, or copy store text. Recipes are our own.
