Ingredients

  • 1 betty crocker™ supermoist™ yellow cake mix
  • 3 whole eggs
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 5 bananas sliced 1/4 inch thick
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded coconut
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter

Steps

  1. Heat the oven to 350°F and grease a 9-by-13-inch baking pan.
  2. Melt the butter in the pan, sprinkle in the brown sugar and coconut, and arrange the banana slices over the mixture.
  3. Beat the cake mix, eggs, oil, sour cream, and water in a large bowl until smooth.
  4. Spread the batter over the bananas and bake for 30 to 35 minutes, until the center is set.
  5. Cool the cake in the pan for 10 minutes, then carefully invert it onto a large plate.
