Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 tsp sea salt
  • 18 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 10 tbsp ice-cold water

Steps

  1. Whisk the flour and salt in a large bowl.
  2. Cut the cold butter into the flour until coarse crumbs form.
  3. Stir in the ice-cold water until the dough holds together.
  4. Chill the wrapped dough for 30 minutes.
  5. Roll the dough into a 12-inch circle and fit it into a 9-inch pie plate.
  6. Bake the crust at 375 F for 25 minutes, then cool it for 10 minutes.
