Typical price: Salefork's estimate of an everyday US shelf price for each ingredient. Pick your city to price it from this week's ad.

This is usually served as a side or part of a meal, so the price per serving is low for a full dinner.

Ingredients

  • 4 russet potatoes or 6 yukon gold potatoes
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 tbsp freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • kosher salt & pepper to taste (optional)

Steps

  1. Peel and cut the potatoes into 1-inch chunks, then peel the garlic for 5 minutes.
  2. Place the potatoes, garlic, and water in a 6-quart pressure cooker, seal the lid, and cook at high pressure for 8 minutes.
  3. Let the pressure release naturally for 5 minutes, then drain the potatoes.
  4. Mash the potatoes and garlic with the milk, butter, Parmesan, salt, and pepper for 7 minutes.
