2 lb la cut short ribs or regular short ribs
1/2 onion
2 cloves garlic
1 tsp fresh ginger
1/2 asian pear or bosc pear
2 scallions
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tbsp toasted sesame oil
2 tbsp brown sugar
1/4 tsp ground black pepper

Steps

Blend the onion, garlic, ginger, pear, soy sauce, sesame oil, brown sugar, and black pepper until smooth.
Coat the short ribs with the marinade and rest them for 15 minutes.
Heat a large grill pan over medium-high heat.
Grill the ribs for 4 to 5 minutes per side, until browned and at least 145 F inside.
Slice the scallions and scatter them over the cooked ribs.
