Ingredients

1 1/2 cups slivered almonds
1/2 cup unsalted butter
2/3 cup light brown sugar
1/4 cup light corn syrup
heaping 1/4 teaspoon salt
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
3 oz milk chocolate
3 oz bittersweet or semisweet chocolate

Steps

Heat the oven to 350 F and line two baking sheets with parchment.
Melt the butter, brown sugar, corn syrup, salt, and vanilla in a saucepan over medium heat.
Stir in the flour and almonds, then drop small spoonfuls onto the baking sheets with plenty of space.
Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, until the cookies are golden and bubbling.
Cool the cookies on the sheets for 5 minutes, then transfer them to a rack.
Melt both chocolates together and spread the mixture over the flat sides of the cooled cookies.
