- 12 oz egg noodles
- 1 1/2 cups sour cream
- 3 cups cottage cheese
- 8 oz cream cheese
- 3/4 cup green onions
- 1 1/2 lb ground beef
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp italian seasoning
- 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
- 3 cups cheddar cheese
Steps
- Heat the oven to 375 F and cook the egg noodles in boiling water until just tender, then drain them.
- Mix the sour cream, cottage cheese, cream cheese, and green onions in a large bowl.
- Brown the ground beef in a large skillet with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning for 8 minutes until it reaches 160 F.
- Stir the tomato sauce into the beef and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Layer half the noodles, half the cream mixture, half the beef sauce, and half the cheddar in a 9-by-13-inch baking dish, then repeat the layers.
- Bake uncovered at 375 F for 30 minutes until hot and bubbling.
