Ingredients

  • 3 lb potatoes
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 10 1/2 oz condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 1/4 cup sliced green onions
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Steps

  1. Heat the oven to 350 F and grease a 9-by-13-inch baking dish with cooking oil.
  2. Slice the potatoes thinly and arrange them in the prepared dish.
  3. Stir the soup, sour cream, melted butter, green onions, and half the cheddar in a bowl.
  4. Spread the mixture over the potatoes and cover the dish with foil.
  5. Bake for 40 minutes, then uncover and sprinkle with the remaining cheddar.
  6. Bake for 10 minutes more, then rest for 5 minutes before serving.
