2 tsp sesame oil
1 tbsp cornstarch
1 tsp sesame oil
2 tsp minced ginger

Steps

Heat the oven to 425 F and line a large baking sheet.
Whisk soy sauce, maple syrup, rice vinegar, sambal, 2 teaspoons sesame oil, ginger, garlic, pepper, and water in a bowl.
Toss the mushrooms with 2 teaspoons sesame oil and 1 tablespoon cornstarch.
Spread the mushrooms on the baking sheet and bake for 18 minutes.
Pour the sauce over the mushrooms, toss well, and bake for 5 more minutes until glossy and tender.
Sprinkle with sesame seeds and green onion if using.
