Ingredients

  • 2 cans (20 oz) pineapple tidbits (optional)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 6 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups crushed ritz crackers
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 3 maraschino cherries

Steps

  1. Heat the oven to 350 F and lightly grease a 9-by-13-inch baking dish with cooking oil.
  2. Drain the pineapple, then stir it with the sugar, flour, and cheddar cheese in the baking dish.
  3. Melt the butter and mix it with the crushed crackers.
  4. Spread the cracker mixture over the pineapple filling and bake for 25 minutes.
  5. Top the warm casserole with the maraschino cherries and serve.
