  • 1 cup pecan pieces
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup turbinado sugar
  • 2 tsp pure vanilla extract

Steps

  1. Heat the oven to 350 F and line two baking sheets with baking paper.
  2. Whisk the flour, salt, and baking powder in a bowl.
  3. Beat the butter, turbinado sugar, and vanilla until creamy.
  4. Stir in the flour mixture and pecans until a soft dough forms.
  5. Shape 24 dough portions into balls, place them on the sheets, and flatten them slightly.
