Ingredients

1 package (16 oz) linguine
6 tbsp butter
10 tsp garlic
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tsp dried basil
8 cups fresh mushrooms
2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley

Steps

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the linguine until tender, about 9 minutes.
Heat the olive oil and 2 tablespoons butter in a 12-inch skillet over medium heat.
Add the mushrooms and cook for 6 minutes, stirring occasionally, until browned and tender.
Stir in the garlic, dried basil, and pepper, and cook for 2 minutes.
Drain the linguine, reserving 1/2 cup pasta water, then add the pasta and remaining butter to the skillet.
Toss with the parsley and enough pasta water to coat, then cook for 1 minute.
