Typical price: Salefork's estimate of an everyday US shelf price for each ingredient. Pick your city to price it from this week's ad.

The amounts listed are small for a full dinner, so this price per serving is likely low. Plan on a side or a bigger portion.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb spaghetti
  • 1 container (15 oz) whole milk ricotta cheese
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2/3 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese (optional)
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 lemon
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp freshly cracked black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 container (5 oz) baby spinach

Steps

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
  2. Cook the spaghetti until tender, about 9 minutes, then reserve 1 cup pasta water and drain.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat and cook the garlic for 1 minute.
  4. Stir in the ricotta, lemon zest, lemon juice, salt, black pepper, red pepper flakes, and 1/2 cup pasta water.
  5. Add the spaghetti and spinach, then toss over medium-low heat until the spinach wilts, about 3 minutes.
  6. Stir in the parmesan and add more pasta water if needed.
