Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups warm milk
  • 4 tsp dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 7 cups flour
  • 3/8 cup butter

Steps

  1. Stir the warm milk, yeast, and sugar in a large bowl, then rest for 5 minutes.
  2. Mix in the melted butter, salt, eggs, and flour until a soft dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 8 minutes.
  4. Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for 45 minutes.
  5. Divide the dough into 24 pieces and place them in greased 9-by-13-inch pans.
  6. Cover the rolls and let them rise for 30 minutes.
  7. Heat the oven to 375 F, brush the rolls with butter, and bake for 18 minutes.
