1 lb fusilli pasta
1/3 cup extra-virgin olive oil
3 cloves garlic
3 cups cherry tomatoes
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper
1/2 cup packed fresh basil leaves
8 oz fresh mozzarella pearls

Steps

Boil salted water in a large pot, cook the fusilli until tender according to the package time, and drain.
Warm the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat, add the sliced garlic, and cook for 1 minute.
Add the cherry tomatoes, salt, and pepper, then cook for 6 to 8 minutes until the tomatoes soften.
Toss the drained pasta with the tomato mixture and basil in the skillet.
Remove the skillet from the heat, fold in the mozzarella pearls, and serve warm.
