Ingredients

  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 oz taco seasoning
  • 6 cups chopped iceberg lettuce
  • 1 cup diced fresh tomatoes
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups fritos® corn chips
  • 1/2 cup salsa
  • 1/2 cup catalina dressing (optional)

Steps

  1. Cook the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat for 8 to 10 minutes, breaking it apart until it reaches 160 F.
  2. Stir in the taco seasoning and water as directed on the seasoning packet, then simmer for 2 minutes.
  3. Chop the lettuce and tomatoes while the beef cooks.
  4. Layer the lettuce, tomatoes, cheddar, warm beef, and corn chips in a large bowl.
  5. Top with salsa and Catalina dressing, if using, and serve within 30 minutes.
