1 egg
3 cups flour

Steps

Heat the oven to 350 F and grease two baking sheets with cooking oil.
Beat butter and brown sugar until smooth, then beat in molasses and the egg.
Stir in flour, cinnamon, ginger, cloves, and salt to make a firm dough.
Fill a cookie press and press the dough onto the baking sheets, then sprinkle the tops with sugar or sprinkles.
