Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup blueberries
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon

Steps

  1. Heat the oven to 350 F and grease an 8-by-8-inch baking pan with cooking oil.
  2. Whisk the flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
  3. Beat the butter, brown sugar, and sugar until creamy, then mix in the eggs one at a time.
  4. Add the flour mixture and milk in alternating portions, then fold in the half cup of blueberries.
  5. Spread the batter in the pan and scatter the remaining blueberries over it.
  6. Mix the quarter cup sugar with cinnamon, sprinkle it over the berries, and bake for 35 to 40 minutes, until firm and the center reaches 160 F.
