1/4 cup creamy peanut butter

Steps

Heat the oven to 350 F and grease a 9-by-13-inch baking pan.
Boil the water, first measure of butter, and peanut butter in a saucepan, then remove the pan from the heat.
Whisk in the sugar, brown sugar, flour, salt, baking soda, eggs, first buttermilk, and first vanilla.
Pour the batter into the pan and bake for 16 to 18 minutes, until the center springs back.
Melt the second butter, second buttermilk, and second peanut butter in a saucepan, then stir in the powdered sugar and second vanilla.
