9 large eggs
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 lemon zest

Steps

Heat the oven to 350 F and lightly oil a 9-inch round cake pan.
Beat the eggs and sugar in a large bowl for 4 minutes, then mix in the orange juice, oil, and lemon zest.
Whisk the flour and baking powder together, then stir them into the egg mixture until smooth.
Divide the batter between two bowls and stir the cocoa powder into one bowl.
Alternate spoonfuls of both batters in the pan, then gently swirl them with a knife.
Bake for 45 to 50 minutes, until the center is firm and a tester comes out clean.
