2 tbsp butter
16 oz white button or baby bella mushrooms
1/2 tsp salt
3 cloves garlic
1 1/2 cups chicken broth (optional)
3/4 cup heavy cream

1 tbsp cornstarch dissolved in 1 tablespoon cold water
1/4 cup parmesan cheese

Steps

Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat and cook the mushrooms with salt for 8 minutes.
Add the garlic and cook for 1 minute.
Pour in the broth and cream, add the thyme, and simmer for 8 minutes.
Whisk the cornstarch with cold water, stir it into the sauce, and simmer for 2 minutes.
Boil the gnocchi in salted water until they float, drain them, and toss them with the sauce and Parmesan.
