Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 4 oz cream cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 3/4 cups flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp cream of tartar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon

Steps

  1. Beat the butter, cream cheese, and powdered sugar until smooth, then beat in the egg and vanilla.
  2. Whisk the flour, baking powder, cream of tartar, and salt, then stir them into the cream cheese mixture.
  3. Cover the dough and chill it for 20 minutes while heating the oven to 350 F.
  4. Mix the granulated sugar and cinnamon in a shallow bowl, then shape the dough into small balls and roll them in the cinnamon sugar.
  5. Place the cookies on lined baking sheets and bake for 10 to 12 minutes, until the edges are set; cool them on the sheets for 5 minutes.
