Ingredients

  • 4 lb country style ribs
  • 1 3/4 cups barbecue sauce
  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tbsp dark brown sugar
  • 2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Steps

  1. Heat the oven to 325 F.
  2. Mix the chili powder, brown sugar, paprika, cumin, oregano, salt, red pepper flakes, and pepper.
  3. Coat the ribs with the spice mixture.
  4. Place the ribs in a 9-by-13-inch baking dish, cover tightly, and bake for 2 hours 30 minutes.
  5. Brush the ribs with barbecue sauce and bake uncovered for 30 minutes.
  6. Check that the pork reaches at least 145 F before serving.
