Ingredients
- 1 loaf good bread
- 3/4 cup real mayonnaise (optional)
- 1 large tomato
- 1/3 bunch cilantro
- 6 oz mild cheddar cheese
- sriracha hot chili sauce to taste (optional)
- 1 1/2 tbsp sea salt
- 1 tbsp paprika
- 1 tsp freshly ground pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
Steps
- Stir the mayonnaise, paprika, pepper, garlic powder, sea salt, and hot sauce if using in a small bowl.
- Slice the bread and tomato, then chop the cilantro and cheddar.
- Spread the seasoned mayonnaise over the bread and layer on the tomato, cilantro, and cheddar.
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add a little oil.
- Cook the sandwiches for 3 to 4 minutes per side until the bread is crisp and the cheese melts.
