Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup salted butter
  • 1/2 cup golden corn syrup
  • 1 cup butterscotch baking chips
  • 4 cups rice crispy cereal
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup butterscotch baking chips
  • 1 tsp coconut oil

Steps

  1. Grease a 9-inch square pan with the cooking oil.
  2. Heat the brown sugar, butter, and corn syrup in a saucepan over medium heat for 3 minutes, stirring until smooth.
  3. Remove the pan from the heat, stir in 1 cup of butterscotch chips, and fold in the cereal.
  4. Press the mixture firmly into the prepared pan.
  5. Melt the chocolate chips, remaining butterscotch chips, and coconut oil together over low heat for 2 minutes.
  6. Spread the topping over the bars and chill for 5 minutes before cutting.
