- 2 balls burrata cheese
- 4 1/2 large heirloom tomatoes
- 1 tsp fine salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- fresh basil leaves (optional)
- 1 1/2 tbsp good olive oil
- 1 cup balsamic vinegar
- 2 tbsp honey
- 2 cups fresh basil leaves
- 1/3 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup pine nuts or walnuts
- 1 clove garlic
- 1/3 cup olive oil (optional)
- 1/4 tsp salt
Steps
- Whisk the balsamic vinegar and honey in a bowl until combined.
- Tear 2 cups basil leaves into a small bowl and stir in parmesan, nuts, garlic, olive oil, and salt.
- Slice the tomatoes and arrange them on a large platter with the burrata.
- Drizzle the balsamic mixture and basil pesto over the tomatoes and cheese.
