Ingredients

  • 1 cup regular butter
  • 2 cups light brown sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder
  • 3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Steps

  1. Heat the oven to 350 F and grease a 9-inch square pan with butter.
  2. Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat for 5 to 7 minutes, until golden and nutty.
  3. Cool the browned butter for 5 minutes, then whisk it with the brown sugar and eggs.
  4. Stir in the flour and cocoa powder, then fold in the chocolate chips.
  5. Spread the batter in the pan and bake for 25 to 28 minutes, until the center is set.
  6. Cool the brownies in the pan for 5 minutes before cutting.
