Ingredients
- 5 tbsp unsalted butter
- 4 oz quality bittersweet chocolate bar
- 4 oz quality semi-sweet chocolate bar
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp fine sea salt
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour

Steps
- Melt the butter and both chocolates together in a heatproof bowl, then cool slightly.
- Whisk in the sugar, eggs, vanilla, and salt until smooth.
- Stir in the flour, cover the dough, and chill it for 2 hours.
- Heat the oven to 350 F and line baking sheets with parchment.
- Roll the dough into 20 balls, coat them in confectioners sugar, and bake for 10 to 12 minutes.
- Cool the cookies on the baking sheets for 5 minutes, then transfer them to a rack.
