  • 1/4 cup white granulated sugar
  • 2 tbsp light brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 1/4 cup quick-cooking oats
  • 1 1/4 cup all-purpose flour

Steps

  1. Heat the oven to 375 F and grease a 9-by-13-inch baking dish.
  2. Toss the apples with white sugar, brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, and water in the baking dish.
  3. Mix the oats, flour, sugars, cinnamon, salt, and baking powder in a bowl.
  4. Cut in the butter until the mixture forms coarse crumbs, then scatter it over the apples.
  5. Bake for 40 minutes until the apples are tender and the topping is golden.
  6. Cool the crumble for 5 minutes before serving.
