Ingredients

  • 5 cups apples sliced and peeled
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 1/4 cup whipping cream
  • 3 1/2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 pinch nutmeg
  • 1 pinch cloves
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Steps

  1. Heat the oven to 375 F and grease a 9-inch pie plate.
  2. Arrange the peeled apples in the pie plate.
  3. Whisk the white sugar, brown sugar, cream, cornstarch, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and vanilla in a bowl.
  4. Pour the cream mixture over the apples and cover the pie plate with foil.
  5. Bake for 25 minutes, remove the foil, and bake for 10 more minutes until the apples are tender and the filling is set.
  6. Cool the pie for 10 minutes before serving.
