Ingredients
- 1/2 spaghetti pasta 8 oz
- 1/4 small white onion
- 1 bay leaf
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 cup baked ham cut in small cubes
- 1/2 cup mexican cream
- salt and pepper to taste (optional)
- 1 cup monterrey jack cheese
Steps
- Boil salted water in a large pot, add the onion and bay leaf, and cook the spaghetti until tender, about 10 minutes.
- Drain the spaghetti and remove the onion and bay leaf.
- Melt the butter in the pot over medium heat.
- Cook the ham in the butter for 3 minutes.
- Stir in the cream and heat it gently for 2 minutes.
- Return the spaghetti to the pot, stir in the cheese, and season with salt and pepper.
