1/4 cup salted butter
1 package (10 1/2 oz) miniature marshmallows
1/2 tsp peppermint extract
6 cups rice krispies cereal

Steps

Melt the butter in a large pot over low heat for 1 minute.
Add the marshmallows and peppermint extract, stirring for 3 to 4 minutes until smooth.
Remove the pot from the heat, fold in the cereal, and press it into a greased 9-by-13-inch pan.
Melt the chocolate chips in the microwave for 1 minute, stirring halfway.
Spread the chocolate over the treats, sprinkle on the crushed candy, and chill for 10 minutes.
