1 lb gemelli pasta
1 containers (8 oz) mascarpone
1/2 cup finely freshly grated parmesan cheese
2 cups frozen petite peas
3 tbsp prepraed pesto
1 tbsp dijon mustard
1 tbsp lemon juice
3/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp onion powder

1 cup reserved pasta water

Steps

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the gemelli for 9 minutes.
Add the frozen peas during the last 2 minutes of cooking.
Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta and peas.
Return the pot to low heat and stir in the mascarpone, parmesan, pesto, mustard, lemon juice, salt, onion powder, garlic powder, pepper, and sugar.
Add the pasta water gradually and stir until smooth.
Stir in the pasta, peas, and crumbled bacon, then heat for 1 minute.
