Ingredients

2 lb mussels
1 jars (16 oz) spicy arrabbiata sauce
1/4 cup cream or half and half
2 tbsp chopped parsley
2 cloves garlic

Steps

Rinse the mussels under cold water, remove beards, and discard cracked shells or shells that stay open when tapped.
Cook the garlic in a large pot over medium heat for 1 minute.
Add the arrabbiata sauce and cream, then simmer for 2 minutes.
Add the mussels, cover the pot, and steam for 5 to 6 minutes until the shells open.
Discard any mussels that remain closed and stir in the parsley.
