Ingredients
- 1 tsp sesame oil (optional)
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1/2 onion
- 1 tbsp korean red pepper flakes
- 1 cup vegetable broth
- 1/2 cup mushrooms
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 package (12 oz) soft tofu
- 1 egg
- 2 green onions (optional)
Steps
- Heat the sesame oil in a medium pot over medium heat and cook the onion and garlic for 3 minutes.
- Stir in the red pepper flakes and cook for 30 seconds.
- Add the broth, mushrooms, soy sauce, and tofu, then simmer for 10 minutes.
- Crack the egg into the simmering soup, cover the pot, and cook for 5 minutes until firm.
- Stir in the green onions and serve the soup hot.
