Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 tbsp white vinegar
  • 1 tsp granulated sugar
  • 2 tbsp fresh dill
  • 2 english cucumbers
  • 1/2 red onion
  • salt to taste (optional)
  • freshly ground black pepper to taste (optional)

Steps

  1. Slice the cucumbers and red onion thinly.
  2. Sprinkle the cucumbers with salt and let them stand for 60 minutes.
  3. Drain the cucumbers and gently press out excess moisture.
  4. Stir the sour cream, vinegar, sugar, dill, and black pepper together in a bowl.
  5. Fold the cucumbers and onion into the dressing, then chill for 10 minutes.
