Ingredients

  • nonstick cooking spray
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup finely ground almond meal or flour
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/8 tsp kosher salt
  • 3/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 cup raw honey
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 6 oz 1/3 less fat cream cheese
  • 2 tbsp sugar

Steps

  1. Heat the oven to 350 F and spray an 8-inch square pan with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Whisk the almond meal, cocoa, salt, and baking soda in a medium bowl.
  3. Beat the eggs, honey, and vanilla in another bowl, then stir in the dry mixture and chocolate chips.
  4. Beat the cream cheese and sugar until smooth, then spread the brownie batter in the pan and swirl the cream cheese over it.
  5. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, until the center is set and the eggs are fully cooked.
  6. Cool the brownies in the pan for 10 minutes before cutting.
