Ingredients

  • 2 lb chicken drumsticks
  • 1 1/2 tsp minced garlic
  • 1 1/2 tsp minced onion
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp seasoning mix
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 1/2 cups oil for frying (optional)

Steps

  1. Combine the garlic, onion, oyster sauce, pepper, salt, seasoning mix, egg, and cornstarch in a large bowl.
  2. Toss the drumsticks in the mixture until fully coated.
  3. Heat the oil to 350 F in a deep, heavy skillet or pot.
  4. Fry the drumsticks in batches for 12 to 15 minutes, turning often, until browned and 165 F near the bone.
  5. Drain the chicken briefly before serving.
