Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 1/4 cups granulated sugar
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups bittersweet chocolate chips

Steps

  1. Heat the oven to 350 F and line two baking sheets with parchment.
  2. Melt 1 cup of the chocolate chips in a heatproof bowl over gently simmering water.
  3. Whisk the flour, baking powder, and salt in a medium bowl.
  4. Beat the sugar and eggs in a large bowl until smooth, then stir in vanilla and melted chocolate.
  5. Stir in the dry mixture and remaining chocolate chips until a thick dough forms.
  6. Drop 24 spoonfuls onto the baking sheets and bake for 10 to 12 minutes, until the edges are set.
