Ingredients

  • 12 oz extra-wide egg noodles
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3/4 tsp kosher salt
  • 3/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • 6 slices thick-cut bacon
  • 20 oz cremini mushrooms
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 1/2 tbsp chopped fresh rosemary
  • 2 tbsp sherry vinegar or red wine vinegar

Steps

  1. Boil the egg noodles in salted water until tender, then drain them.
  2. Cook the bacon in a large skillet over medium heat for 8 minutes, then crumble it and leave 2 tablespoons of drippings.
  3. Cook the mushrooms in the drippings for 7 minutes, then stir in the garlic for 1 minute.
  4. Add the broth, cream, rosemary, salt, and pepper, and simmer for 8 minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Stir in the vinegar, noodles, and bacon, and cook for 2 minutes until hot.
