- 200 g chocolate
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 5 egg yolks
- 500 ml milk
Steps
- Whisk the egg yolks and sugar in a medium bowl until smooth.
- Warm the milk in a medium saucepan over medium heat until steaming, then slowly whisk it into the yolks.
- Return the mixture to the saucepan and cook over medium-low heat to 160 F, stirring constantly.
- Stir in the chocolate until melted and smooth, then pour the custard into a shallow freezer container.
- Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for 2 hours.
- Freeze for 4 hours, stirring every 45 minutes until thick and scoopable.
