Ingredients
- 1/2 cup shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup part-skim ricotta cheese
- 1/2 cup diced pepperoni
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh mushrooms
- 1/4 cup finely chopped green pepper
- 2 tbsp finely chopped onion
- 1/2 tsp italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp minced garlic
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 package (8 oz) refrigerated crescent rolls
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- parmesan cheese for sprinkling (optional)
- 1 jar (14 oz) pizza sauce
Steps
- Heat the oven to 375 F and line a baking sheet with parchment.
- Mix the mozzarella, ricotta, pepperoni, Parmesan, mushrooms, green pepper, onion, Italian seasoning, minced garlic, and salt.
- Unroll the crescent dough, press the seams together, spread on the filling, and roll it tightly.
- Slice the roll into 16 pieces and place them cut-side up on the baking sheet.
- Melt the butter with the garlic powder, brush it over the pinwheels, and sprinkle with Parmesan if desired.
- Bake for 13 to 15 minutes, until golden, while warming the pizza sauce in a small saucepan.
