Ingredients

  • 6 slices bacon
  • 12 large sea scallops
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 clove garlic
  • fresh chopped parsley (optional)
  • salt & pepper (optional)

Steps

  1. Heat the oven to 425 F and lightly oil a large rimmed sheet pan.
  2. Wrap each scallop with half a bacon slice and secure it with a toothpick.
  3. Arrange the scallops on the sheet pan and chill them for 10 minutes.
  4. Bake the scallops for 25 minutes, turning them halfway through.
  5. Broil for 3 minutes, watching closely, until the bacon is browned.
  6. Rest the scallops for 2 minutes, then check that the centers reach 145 F.
