Ingredients
- 12 oz bowtie pasta
- 8 slices bacon
- 2 1/2 cups chopped romaine lettuce
- 1 cup diced tomato (optional)
- 3/7 cup chopped scallions
- 2 1/2 oz cubed cabot medium cheddar cheese
- 2 1/2 oz cubed cabot colby jack cheese
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 clove garlic
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 3/4 tsp dried dill
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 cup finely chopped scallions or chives
- 1/5 tsp hot sauce
Steps
- Boil the bowtie pasta in salted water until tender, following the package timing, then drain and rinse it with cold water.
- Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat for 8 to 10 minutes, then drain and crumble it.
- Whisk the sour cream, mayonnaise, milk, garlic, salt, dill, garlic powder, pepper, scallions, and hot sauce in a bowl.
- Toss the cooled pasta with the dressing, bacon, lettuce, tomato, and cheeses in a large bowl.
- Chill the pasta salad for 5 minutes before serving.
