Ingredients

1/4 head cabbage
1 onion
1 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp butter
1/2 lb bacon
1 cup sour cream
1 package (12 1/3 oz) large egg noodles
salt and pepper
pasta water

Steps

Boil the egg noodles in a large pot until tender, reserving 1 cup pasta water.
Cook the bacon in a large skillet over medium heat for 6 minutes until crisp, then remove it.
Cook the onion and cabbage in the bacon fat and olive oil for 8 minutes until tender.
