Ingredients
- 4 oz bacon
- 1 lb brussels sprouts
- 3/4 cup chopped yellow onion
- 2 tbsp butter
- salt and freshly ground black pepper
- 1/3 cup chopped walnuts
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp dijon mustard
Steps
- Chop the bacon, halve the Brussels sprouts, and prepare the onion and walnuts.
- Cook the bacon in a large skillet over medium heat for 6 minutes until crisp, then leave 1 tablespoon of fat in the skillet.
- Add the butter and onion, then cook for 4 minutes until softened.
- Add the Brussels sprouts, salt, and pepper, cover, and cook for 8 minutes until tender.
- Stir in the walnuts, honey, and Dijon mustard, then cook uncovered for 3 minutes.
