Ingredients

  • 4 pork chops
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 6 cloves garlic
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tbsp rice wine vinegar
  • 1 1/2 tbsp water (optional)

Steps

  1. Season the pork chops with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat, then sear the chops for 3 to 4 minutes per side.
  3. Add the butter and garlic, and cook for 1 minute.
  4. Stir in the honey, chicken broth, rice wine vinegar, and water.
  5. Simmer the sauce for 3 to 5 minutes, turning the chops once, until they reach 145 F.
  6. Rest the pork chops for 3 minutes before serving.
